Bulk Storage Racks for Hand Loading
What Do I need to Know about bulk racks?
In this video I will explain what you must know about our bulk storage rack.
To begin, this may look like an ordinary pallet rack but it is important to understand pallet racks and bulk storage racks are two very different types of storage products.
A bulk rack is loaded by hand whereas a pallet rack is for machine loading. You will never see someone loading their bulk storage rack with a machine in the same way you are unlikely to see someone loading a pallet rack by hand.
With that being said both storage systems are very popular at A Plus Warehouse. You cannot go wrong with either our bulk storage rack or pallet racking.
When loading up your bulk storage rack there are steps you need to take to ensure safety.
Because you load these racks by hand you are sure to need a ladder for those higher shelves.
A ladder will allow you to reach whichever shelf you are trying to get to without having to over stretch or even jump. Over stretching your body like this is very dangerous in the warehouse. Use the right tool for the right job.
At this height you have little control of whatever item you are grabbing or placing. With a ladder you can get to a safe eye level.
Ladders are available at A Plus Warehouse – be sure to ask your sales rep the type of ladder you may need for these bulk racks.
Now to dive deeper into our bulk racks.
What’s unique about these racks is that they are in stock in California. You don’t see that with every rack.
Get your rack with either a particle board or wire mesh decking. Wire mesh is the more popular option for a few reasons.
To start it is more durable than particleboard. You are more likely to need to replace your particleboard rack than you are with the wire mesh.
The wire mesh is great for airflow. If you are storing food on these racks – then the wire mesh decking is what you need. With a particleboard, no wind can pass through.
The standard unit will have two shelves – the top is included as one of those shelves. But if you want more shelves, just ask and we can work with you.
With shelf capacities ranging from 1600 pounds to 2000 pounds – this sure is heavy-duty.
The width of this racking system can range anywhere from 48” to 96” you can even line up two 96” racks next to each other.
This is your ideal rack for storing bulky items.
