To Prevent Illness
With the Covid-19 virus, illness prevention has become a national priority. Yet illness prevention isn’t just for Covid-19, it is for any transmissible virus such as the seasonal flu. A Plus Warehouse offers protective shields, social distance barriers, and temperature testing stations to help.
Shields
Protective shields are very commonly seen at restaurants. They separate tables and keep everyone safe. The product is lightweight, flexible, and OSHA compliant. All hardware is included and it is easy to install.
Counter Top Screens are commonly seen at banks. They prevent sickness as well as theft. The product offers a slot at the bottom for transactions. We also have an economy version of this product. It is slightly smaller and features two black wood base whereas the larger model features a three-piece black wood base.
Office Partition Panels
These office partition panels can be used in many workspaces, not just the office! They are easy to use. The partitions are easy to assemble, just stand them up and adjust them to your liking. They also provide noise absorption and privacy. They are made with 100% polyester and are easy to clean.
Social Distance Barriers
Create social distance with these barriers. They can be used at coffee shops, retails, lines, restaurants, and more. It can also easily connect to multiple barriers. They are 74” tall and offer optional casters for mobility. Everything needed to install is included and it is easily stored when not in use.
The barrier is available with semi-transparent vinyl for more privacy or completely clear vinyl for full visibility. They both offer the same amount of illness prevention.
Temperature Testing
Temperature testing stations have become especially popular in the time of Covid-19. They ensure that nobody who is sick with a fever enters the facility. The plexiglass is safe and easy to sanitize between uses. Our deluxe testing stations make it easy to test two at the same time.
Hearing Protection
When working in a loud environment, noise control is essential. First of all, noise control can help to protect hearing. There is only so much sound an ear can handle before damage. Even without long-term exposure to loud noise, noise control is still very much worth it. It is uncomfortable to work and try to speak in very loud environments. It could lead to vocal cord issues as well.
The noise reduction barrier is commonly used in construction sites and machine shops. They reduce noise by half and can be temporary or permanent structures. They are also fire resistant! The product can be used both indoors and outdoors. It is UV-protected and features water-resistant panels which can withstand harsh weather. The barrier is easy to assemble with just one person working alone. It comes with everything you need to set up. The product is also easy to store. It can just be folded up and tucked away.
Protection from Falls
Unfortunately, falls in a warehouse can have potentially deadly consequences. Fortunately, we have products that prevent these costly falls. If one of our fall protection products saves the life of just one worker, then few would argue they are well worth the price.
A-Frame Fall Protection
The A-Frame Fall Protection features a mobile design, so there is no need to install. To use simply roll into position and lock into place. This saves you money, time, and space. It is great for a temporary workstation and meets OSHA and ANSI standards. Product is available with 1 and 2 person capacities.
Column Mounted Swing Arm Fall Protection
This fall protection product provides 180 degrees of protection. It is well-adapted to facilities where overhead cranes are in use. Arms can be expanded and retracted. This item also exceeds ANSI and OSHA standards.
This product also has a 1- or 2-person capacity. It is recommended for use in smaller areas. The arm rotates while the anchor trolley slides along the track system to keep tie off point directly over the worker’s head. This helps reduce the risk for swing fall-related injuries.
After the Fall
Even with great fall protection, unfortunately, accidents happen. Once a fall happens, you need a way to rescue.
Our power-assisted rescue descender kit features an auto descender, 130 feet of rope, anchors straps, and remote anchor hook-up device in a convenient carry bag. A 12’ extension rescue pole is also included in the storage bag pole compartment. The rescue rope comes with steel carabiner on each end. Rescue handwheel with drill attachment point is also included.
Laboratory Showers and Eye Wash
When working in a laboratory, you will often times be working with dangerous and toxic chemicals. Emergency showers and eyewashes are essential if you are to accidentally come in contact with such a chemical. You will see them in most any laboratory.
Emergency Tank Showers
Emergency tank showers will completely drench you in case of an emergency. It is easy to activate, simply push the panic bar. This product will hold up to the outdoors, even earthquakes! It is supported by galvanized steel frames. Customers can choose between 317- and 528-gallon capacity.
The larger capacity item provides 15 minutes of water flow at 20 gallons per minute, without the need for a water supply! The smaller version requires a connection with a water source. The 110V heaters keep water at a constant tepid temperature.
Cubicle Safety Shower
While emergency tank showers are meant more so for outdoor use, this product is meant for indoor use in an enclosed area. The shower features a stainless-steel hollow section frame enclosed in GRP wall sheeting with stainless steel pipes for corrosion resistance and extended life. The shower is easy-to-activate. Just pull down the handle for quick activation. The deluxe model also includes a sump pump.
Gravity Fed Eyewash with Heater Jacket
This eyewash is activated by pulling down the tray. It is colored yellow to make it easy to spot. Spray heads provide a 15-minute flush at .3 gal/minute. It is lightweight and provides a heater jacket that provides freeze protection. It can mount to the wall, countertop, or waste cart. It also meets ANSI standards.
Portable Eyewash Units
The great thing about this eyewash is that it can travel with you! It included built-in pressure gauges and automatic pressure relief valves. It also features 2 gentle spray outlet heads with a “flip top” dust cover mounted on a chrome-plated brass supply arm. The unit runs for full 15 minutes.
ADA Emergency Shower and Eyewash Station
This product is a shower eyewash combo that also doubles as a workstation. The product includes upper storage space, two adjustable shelves, and a lower cabinet that locks for security or wheelchair access. It is also chemical resistant with a UV finish. The showerhead features high-impact ABS plastic with a stay-open chrome-plated brass valve. The eyewash unit has a 10” diameter stainless steel bowl and lever-action ball valve on a plastic laminate top. It comes fully assembled, but service piping is not supplied.
Safety Cabinets
While we are on the topic of laboratory safety, safety cabinets are commonly used in laboratories in order to store hazardous and/or flammable chemicals. Learn about the benefits of different types of safety cabinets.
4 Hour Fire Rated Safety Cabinet
This safety cabinet is highly recommended for storing flammable items. Many customers also order this product with explosion relief panels for ultimate safety. The cabinet can hold anywhere between 2 and 16 drums. A 2-hour version is also available if 4 hours is not necessary.
This cabinet is weatherproof and is constructed of multiple layers of fire-resistant gypsum wallboard encased between exterior heavy gauge steel and interior galvannealed sheet steel. It comes with galvanized steel grate flooring that removes easily for cleaning. Cabinet meets EPA, NFPA 30, NFPA 1, and EPA regulations. It is also FM-approved.
Compact Corrosive Cabinet
The compact corrosive cabinet provides protection from acids and corrosive chemicals when space is limited. The cabinet is FM-approved and comes with fire protection as well. It is double-wall with 18-GA welded construction, and a 2” light containment sump. Choose between 4-, 12-, and 15-gallon capacities.
Manual vs Self-Closing
A big question you must ask yourself when purchasing a safety cabinet is whether you are looking for manual or self-closing doors. In some states, self-clothing is actually mandatory. So be sure to check local laws when ordering your cabinet!
A Plus Warehouse recommends self-closing safety cabinets in most cases. In the case of a fire, you will be thankful for the self-closing. Do you want to think about needing to close cabinets when you are just trying to get out of the building? Auto close cabinets have fusible links that hold the doors open. These metallic links melt as a relatively low temperature forcing the spring-loaded doors to close themselves. This self-closing feature will smother the fire immediately.
Gas Cylinder Cabinet
Gas Cylinders need a storage place as well. A Plus Warehouse offers many different types of gas cylinder cabinets. They are essential for a safe workplace. When ordering gas cylinders, be sure to check the rules and order the correct product. We sell both steel and aluminum cabinets both unassembled and assembled.
The compressed gas cylinder cabinet is a great place to hold compressed gas cylinders. They can store either 10 or 20 cylinders depending on which model you choose. They are safe, reliable, and will not rust.
A Plus Warehouse also offers the horizontal storage cylinder cabinet, for those who prefer to hold their cylinders horizontally. This product holds between 4 and 16 cylinders. It is easy to use and is made of aluminum that will not rust. It can hold between 4 and 16 cylinders.
We also have a gas cylinder forklift pallet available to transport your gas cylinders safely. We suggest our models with ramps for easier loading and unloading. The product secures the cylinder with a 10,000-pound DOT compliant strap. The product has a capacity of between 6 and 21 cylinders depending on the model number.
Dock Safety
So much is going on in a loading dock. Without taking proper safety precautions, people can get seriously injured. A Plus Warehouse sells many products to enhance dock safety.
Wheel Chocks
Wheel chocks are so important to overall dock safety yet they are so often forgotten! Wheel chocks stop a semi-trailer or truck in their tracks. This in turn prevents accidents.
Urethane Wheel chocks are a strong and stable type of wheel chock. They are easy to carry and transfer from place to place with included handle. The product also features pre-drilled mounting holes. This is great if the wheel chock is being kept at a permanent location. The tread on the chock face provides a better grip and reduces slippage.
When you go to the airport, you are sure to fine aircraft chocks. These are designed specifically for aircraft use. They can be used on any side thanks to the reflective tape running down the lengths. They are made with extruded rubber. Many customers order these chocks fully applianced, which includes chain and hanger with reflector.
Dock Lock Systems
The dock lock system is an upgrade to a regular wheel chock. This product automatically grabs trucks ICC bar. The accumulator allows the unit to ride up and down as the load leaves or enters the truck for added safety.
The dock lock system includes a traffic light showing green to move and red to stop. It installs in the front of a loading dock.
Operators are notified of any problems in deploying the hook. An emergency hook release pin is used in case of a power outage. This product does not work universally with lift-gate trucks as many of them lack ICC bars.
Trailer Stabilizing Jack
Trailer stabilizing jacks deliver the extra support you need for trailers when loading and unloading. When a semi-trailer is not attached to a tractor, you can rely on A Plus Warehouse stabilizing jack.
Busy loading docks need these. They prevent many potential loading dock accidents such as upending semi-trailers. The product is colored with a highly visible yellow.
The spin top jack features fast operation spin-top screw heads that permit workers to quickly get to the trailer underside. These jacks meet OSHA requirements when used with wheel chocks.
We also have a trailer stabilizing jack for those with a tighter budget. The economical trailer stabilizing jack is lightweight yet exceptionally strong. It has a static load capacity of 50,000 pounds. The heavy-duty dome-shaped 14” base provides maximum leveling stability. It can also be adjusted from 44 to 51 inches in height.
Warning Lights
Warning lights are a way of letting others in the loading dock know that you are there! There is often a lot going on at a loading dock, and it is easy to lose what is going on.
Look out warning lights stop forklift fatalities. Did you know 40 percent of all forklift fatalities are caused by being struck or run over by a forklift? Look out warning lights prevent such collisions. They alert pedestrians when forklifts are crossing. Mounting hardware is also included with this product. The lights feature a 24V transformer installed overhead and 100,000 hours of life.
The dock watcher is a similar product that is designed to be suspended behind dock doors within 20 feet. It features 24 Volt and is simple to install. It alerts forklift drivers and pedestrians of danger. Optional cord lengths are available at 75 feet and 100 feet. The standard cord length is 50 feet. Audibility is recommended with this product.
Another type of warning light we have is our general loading dock lights. These lights can be outfitted with incandescent or high-pressure sodium units. This product provides uniform visibility inside trucks or around the dock area. An optional light stand is also available.
Warehouse Safety Misconceptions
As we know, warehouses have the potential to be very dangerous. This is why we need to use safety precautions. Use the right safety products, and use them correctly. This alone can prevent many common workplace injuries.
Let’s start with shelving. It is not all about capacity! Different shelving is meant to be used to hold different items. For example, one should never store pallets on a wire rack, even if that wire rack has a high capacity. Always use pallet racks to support pallets. In short, use the right tool for the right job!
Another misconception is that once you have safety equipment, you do not need to be as diligent about safety. This is incorrect. First of all, you should be sure you are using the equipment properly. Safety equipment is not going to help you if you do not know how to use it properly. Plus, having safety equipment is not an excuse to act recklessly.
Warehouses can be dangerous but they don’t need to be. They are not unsafe due to the nature of the job; they can be unsafe due to neglect and unsafe work practices. Work smart with the proper safety precautions and workplace injuries can be greatly reduced.

Anti Fatigue Matting
When standing long hours is a part of the job, you need an anti-fatigue mat to take the load off. Your feet will thank you.
Our aptly named ergonomic matting features a light textured surface without compromising traction. Mat also features a positive interlocking system. Mat is ideal for cart traffic and pivoting. Traffic can easily enter and exit with a universal edging system. Matting is 7/8” thick and can come in black or charcoal.
Many professionals need anti-fatigue mats including cashiers. The mat has a hollow “ air dome” back that provides dozen of air pockets, resulting in more cushioning.
Tilters
When lifting boxes, bending over can have negative long-term effects on your health. This is why A Plus Warehouse offers a wide selection of lifting tables and work positioners.
The ergonomic box tipper and tilter tilts up to 40 degrees. It can lift while tilting or tilt and then lift. The product reduces fatigue and is able to position your containers within reach of machine operators.
Work Bench
It is important o have workbenches at a proper working height. This makes for maximum productivity in the workplace.
The bench in a box ergonomic workbench conveniently ships your workbench in just one box. The height is adjustable from 30” to 42”. It comes as shown with a 120-volt 15 amp power supply. The adjustable height is perfect for ergonomic needs for different jobs and people of different heights. Worksurface material is also available in a few different styles including plastic laminate and ESD laminate.
Seating
Having ergonomic seating can help greatly, especially for those with desk jobs. Bevco ergonomic polyurethane seating is designed for outstanding comfort and long-lasting use in the toughest workplace environment. The shelf-skinned polyurethane seat and back resist stains and damage from punctures, grease, water, and chemicals.
Seats feature adjustable height and back. The 5-Legged base is made with reinforced plastic or tubular steel with welded chrome footing and standard mushroom glides. A dual wheel is also available and recommended for hard floors.
